Hyperliquid Funding Rate Arbitrage Calculator
Hyperliquid commonly presents hourly funding data. Select a 1-hour interval, or convert every exchange rate to the same 8-hour basis before comparing the spread.
FREE CRYPTO ARBITRAGE TOOL
Estimate the funding income, APR and holding-period ROI of an equal-size Long and Short position. Test rates from Hyperliquid, MEXC, Bitunix or Binance, compare CoinGlass research, or evaluate a funding rate arbitrage strategy found on Reddit. Change any input and the results update instantly.
ESTIMATED RETURN
ROI uses total deposited capital across both exchanges. It assumes equal notional positions and an unchanged funding spread for the entire period.
HOW TO USE THE CALCULATOR
Use the predicted rate for the exchange you plan to Long and the exchange you plan to Short. Negative rates are supported. Keep both rates on the same hourly or 8-hour interval.
Enter the total capital invested across both exchanges. The calculator splits it equally to create matching Long and Short notionals.
Funding income must recover the cost of opening and closing both legs. Increase the fee and slippage estimate when liquidity is thin.
Compare the current direction with its rolling 90-day positive spread rate. A high APR without historical consistency can disappear before costs are recovered.
EXCHANGE · DATA · STRATEGY CALCULATIONS
Whatever the source, put both funding rates on the same interval and verify the latest values directly on each exchange before entering a position.
Hyperliquid commonly presents hourly funding data. Select a 1-hour interval, or convert every exchange rate to the same 8-hour basis before comparing the spread.
Enter the MEXC predicted funding rate on the correct Long or Short side and confirm the symbol's settlement interval before calculating ROI.
Compare a Bitunix funding rate with the matching perpetual contract on another exchange, using equal notionals and the same settlement interval.
Enter the Binance predicted rate on the correct side, then compare it with another exchange after normalizing both funding periods.
CoinGlass can support cross-exchange research. Treat aggregator data as a starting point and confirm the rate, symbol and settlement time on each exchange.
When an idea comes from Reddit or another community, reproduce its assumptions here and include fees, slippage, leverage and holding time.
A calculator strategy should combine a positive Net return with sufficient liquidity, manageable liquidation risk and a matching 90-day FBR™ direction.
THE CALCULATION
The calculator follows the same capital treatment as the live scanner: total capital is the combined deposit on the Long and Short exchanges.
Net rate = Short rate − Long ratePosition per leg = Total capital ÷ 2 × LeverageFunding / settlement = Position per leg × Net rateGross APR = Net rate × (24 ÷ interval) × 365 × Leverage ÷ 2Net period ROI = (period funding − four order costs) ÷ total capitalREAD THE RESULT CAREFULLY
The calculator assumes the same notional size on each exchange. Liquidation rules, mark prices and margin requirements can still differ.
Annual ROI extrapolates the entered rate for a full year. Real funding rates reset frequently and may narrow or reverse.
The formula works with positive or negative rates. A negative Long rate can improve income because the Long side may receive funding.
Do not compare an hourly rate directly with an 8-hour rate. Convert both rates to the same interval before calculating.
High leverage can cause liquidation on one exchange even when the combined position is broadly market neutral.
FBR™ measures how often a direction produced a positive spread over the rolling 90 days. It is a filter, not a guarantee.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The same notional position requires margin on both exchanges. ROI is measured against the combined capital deposited on the Long and Short sides.
Yes. The fee and slippage input is applied once to each of the four orders used to open and close both legs. Funding-related exchange fees or borrowing costs should be added separately if applicable.
Yes. Rates can reverse, execution can be incomplete, slippage can exceed the estimate, and either exchange can liquidate or restrict a position. Delta-neutral does not mean risk-free.
Calculate the current return first, then check whether the same Long and Short direction has a strong 90-day FBR™ supported by a meaningful sample. Confirm liquidity, costs and current exchange data before trading.

Use FBR™ to scan MEXC, Bitunix and Hyperliquid, then bring the rates back here to test your capital, leverage and costs.
